Steven is an experienced program operations and organizational leadership professional. A native of Frederick County, Maryland, Steven has honed his craft working extensively with diverse, underserved populations in the fields of human services, higher education, and public health. He currently serves as the Director of Operations & Finance for the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland (AIM). Previously, he served as Director of Program Operations for Safe Kids Worldwide leading the delivery of national childhood injury prevention initiatives, and as founding Director of the Mid-Atlantic Veterans Business Outreach Center where he built a regional team to provide entrepreneurship resources and services to active duty service members and military-connected individuals. Steven has helped thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs and established small business owners engage with their communities, plan for their futures, and pursue their dreams.

Steven currently resides in College Park, MD. His interests include historic preservation and architecture, urban planning/design, and street photography. As an active member of his community, Steven has participated as both a member and leader on various volunteer boards, commissions, and organizations. In his free time, Steven enjoys exploring new places and embarking on outdoor adventures with his dog, Ella. He also enjoys leisure reading, creative writing, a wide variety of music, knitting (poorly), and experimenting in the kitchen.
